At the edge and a doorway,TX

I stood there staring
down
down into what was left of you there
Nothing came out of my mouth
Though I remembered that I knew what words
were
When were they words

I stood there crying
weeping
weeping into my cloth
Until they took my hand and moved me
I think I walked
away
Yet I don't know if I even knew how to walk then

I stood there exsisting
dying
dying for peace of mind or peace and quiet
From the noise in my head that missed you
I reached out and touched your
hand
If cold is an emotion; I know I feel it now

Love,
Ladycat

A powerful read.

This reminds me of my Mother during my Father's "Remembrance Ceremony"...watching her standing at his casket...

Very affecting and emotion-filled.
