They moved the Liberty Bell.
Not in Pennsylvania anymore,

I'm being used now
as hell's last-call toy
& only hell would love my ding

further extending my crack.

So basically Liberty is in Hell. I understand that. But not totally. We still have liberties just for the time we also have plenty of enemies who in my opinion are just doing all this for selfish gain and undeserved power. And if I'm right then wouldn't that corrupt liberty and justice if they got it? Maybe Liberty is going through Hell better describes it. Nice write.

This made me laugh with certain pictures in my mind...but I'm in rare form this morn, I guess. You still baffle me with how much you say in so few words. There really is a lot here, and much more than just on the surface. Let Freedom ring!!
(And if you wonder about my laughter, it's caught up in the craspness of the last few lines...ding, dong, (further extending your) crack....ooooof...

how the bloody dickens i missed this sardonic little piece! i agree with green on this as i perceive liberty as going through hell right now. almost felt puritanistic... each of your poems seems to end scoffing, which i love!
