Nothing and Nowhere

0 posted 2004-10-08 02:08 AM

The lonelines pulses,
Through my veins,
As I stand on the
Outskirts of the circle,
Eyes glazed over,
Faking interest,
While my mind ticks over
The sense of detachment.

I look at you all,
The people I once
Called my friends,
But to use this title
Now,
Would be a heinous joke.
Such a mockery of the
Very word,
"FRIENDSHIP".

"Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"-Frank from Donnie Darko

Well then. That's a pity. I understand the feeling of detatchment....in fact, more than understand I know and it hurts. It hurts so bad. I would offer advice but....I can't think of anything.

To borrow from one of the titles of a post here, "IT SCARES ME", vamp. I am with you in all sincerety. Loneliness kills... I know I have true friends, so I feel successful in that regard, but the power of loneliness crushes the niceties of anything else in your life.
People become friends by being genuine, and by sharing their "all" with one another and still accepting and caring. This is probably the worst of cliches, and one you may not agree with, but you are among friends here at Passions, for you do indeed share a lot of your intimacies with us, and we love you for it...no judgements, no jokes. I have made some awesome friendships here!
All of the musings aside, I value what you have to say, and I love how you share. This one was great as well, so hang in there! I'm with ya in this battle we call loneliness!

Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere

I know how you feel, I used to be an outgoing person now I am a no-one.

A very sincere poem.

Very heartfelt by everyone here I am sure.

This poem is about lonliness and you have all these people replying basically telling you they are your friends and me too.  I just thought I'd point that out.  Great poem.

And about what Purity said, thats why we call him purity.

OMG, I felt like that for so long
many many years before I woke up.

Outskirts of the circle,
Eyes glazed over,
Faking interest,
While my mind ticks over
The sense of detachment.

Nice writing V
