Looking at you,
I can finally look at myself,
And see something there,
Replacing blank expression.
I can tear my words away,
Hold yours close,
And know everything is getting better.
You are so strong,
And beautiful,
And the murky clouds gathering,
Will shy under shelter,
For they fear the glow,
That surrounds you.
I can write this in the dark,
And know it holds light,
Because your slightly anxious hand holds mine,
And nothing seems to matter.
But us.
This hermit lost it’s shell,
Shed the tears.
With you by my side,
Our eye’s on the sky,
I can see the light,
And it holds hope in my heart.
Even if the weather reports predict rain,
I’ll wish the sun to shine.
Even if the day looks over,
I’ll wish the hours to stretch.
This is me,
Giving up on giving up.

All of you.

So glad I stopped by to read your words. This is a wonderful write, with so many fine lines.

God...after just having read "Home", I had thought you went and did a 180 on me, but what you did was very, very, extremely very craftily hooked me into the beauty of this one and then shattered that "looking glass" at the end with the last three lines. This was an amazing write. Touche'!
