I'm holding on to a feeling

                grasping, shaking

                holding still.

A spark I thought had ended

                bursts into flames

                burning, consuming

                all live from within.

An ongoing disagreement

                unrelenting, unforgiving

                living in fear.

A flower blooming late

                dies from poison

                tearing, killing

                any remaing ashes.

I'm holding on to a feeling

                broken, shattered

                holding still.

"I'm just me, trapped in a body."

...and your form in this one furthers its beauty. Great poem with great choice of imagery.

Wings bruised from turning away in such confined space...Not broken...still healable...still feathered with life, somewhere

Is it all really this bad?  I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but its a line of hurt and torture that builds so much.  And the next thing we reallize is we have feelings like this.  Nice write.
