Nothing and Nowhere

Why do I sit here,
Staring at my blank
Computer screen.
Reading your words,
Of calming sanity,
But I’m breaking inside,
I can’t keep up
This pathetic charade.

Why do I site here,
Letting the tears pour down my face.
But as I wipe my cheeks,
They are bone dry.
For I am crying,
Tears that do not come.
I feel them stinging at my eyes,
I feel them burning
Begging to be released.
But they do not come,
I cry invisible tears,
For I am slowly fading,
Being taken by the pain,
That eating away at me,
Turning into an invisible pit
Of self pity.
Keep crying the tears,
Keep crying the tears
That do not come.

Could end it all,
But where is my will?
I have not the will,
So I am stuck here,
Keep on smiling,
They can't see your invisible tears,
For they are the tears,
That do not come.

Can't be helpful. Too early to be helpful.
I am here too though. Loved the same bit as Ruth.....

Hollow.

Follow Sophs advice. Since its too early for me to give any.

turning into an invisible pit of self pity. yep, that's me. i'm with you on this one. it always works for me to get real close to the mirror and just stare into my own eyes if i truly want the tears to be rivers of wetness. i feel ya, and nice expression here.

i'll always need a friend, one i can defend.

What a psychological mind...(insert your own four letter word here, but I didn't choose "game")...
Wiping those tears from your face that are bone dry... Whether insecurities are real for you, or you are real in your understanding of insecurities in general, stand proud. This was very well done.

thanks everyone for their replies.

Ruth: thanks for saving my poem to your library. i feel honoured!
Eve: thank you very much for the compliment.
Purity: thanks for your reply too. i dunno, you mentioned my insecurity in one of my other poems too i think.. yeah, i think i am pretty insecure, i need to work on the whole "self praise/approval/everything!"

Soph: I'm glad that you can relate, its nice to know that I'm not alone, and I have someone I know going through the same thing.
Once again, thank you.

Courts: Damn girl! How early are you waking up? come on...its holidays!! you shouldnt even be THINKING about being even close to conscious before at least 10.30am! thanks for your reply, thanks for all your replies!
eek! my dad is yelling at me to go have dinner, so i must cut this reply short...i was becoming a tad long winded anyway..
darn, must go now...

Hahaha, I woke up at eleven, but even then, it's too early!

Good Lord Kirsty,
