my own little world

He was a boy
gasping to grasp
meaning
purpose
hope to hold
in a gray plastic world

something shadowed his reality
smudged all the lines
stole him away
and said everything was fine

The hawk craft
fluttering steady heart-song
shifting to shallow past
drifting concept of right wrong

Drilling fog of the emotion
slipping further to the cracks
to find himself lost
trailing some twisted cause

"A butterfly in a bottle
a picture crying to be captured"
my swift angel bird

simply
he draws these pages
calligraphy lined bloody ink
soft window
complex room
a view of melody
rumbling aurafied air

Honest words that take me higher
I offered incense for his name
toxic fumes and fire Green Crow

Shock me, break me
Green can see.
drop me, shake me
now this bird is free.

Holy crap.  Yeah when I was reading I found just about the majority of it fit quite well into the memories of what I was, and at times still haunt my head like a small prison filled with smoke from a roll of nicotine paper.  And something I haven't told you to my knowledge anyway is the crow.  There was another geometrically round shaped group of individuals that were imparted with that very same flying beast of black plummage that weren't exactly refered to as co-containers of electric vibe.  I told you.  You have got to let me see those wings one day.  I'm willing to bet their beautifully and brilliantly shaped with a span that must at least near reaching the floor while tucked away behind your back.  I love you as the true angel you are.  And this is posted for all to see because I have no shame about feeling this way.  Thank you.

Two quick things..
"If dreaming is real, and the only illusion is life, then a beautiful mind creates it own existence, despite the odds..." GIS - that's you, friend...AND, there is no need for shame or explanation in a response such as yours to River's beautiful dedication. The response was one of the most endearing ever, and served to make me read this one over and over again out of mutual respect for poet and subject!

psst- and I share the love, you know (both)

Lose one friend... Lose all friends... Lose Yourself...

wow.  Sensational, really.  The part with the butterfly in the bottle was my favourite, brilliance.
