im sick of this reality i need some more lies so come a little closer hold my hands in yours and tell me you love me then kiss me softly and tell me you need me then wrap me up in your warm arms and tell me you'll never let me go i hope you know that you are all i have so lie to me tell me you'll never hurt me tell me i'm beautiful tell me i'm amazing and i'll pretend that you won't turn on me i can pretend that i believe you i'll pretend you mean it you struck me once not my fault but then you struck me again this time its my fault i shouldn't trust you im just afraid of myself and what i will be without you nirvana means freedom from pain, suffering and the external world. |

I'm afraid that this one is true, and it cuts close to the bone. I am glad, however that you are posting, because you are one goddam poet here that I admire. To be honest, if this is what I think it is about, (How would I know? Your world is so different from mine) then I don't think you deserve anyone but yourself. And your friends. I don't want to sound all stuck up, (What would I know? Nothing ever comes my way) so I'm going to stop. Hollow. Bloody great poem. I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. this is really sad darkness but beautifully written..... the start applies to me soo much but the ending was a complete shock.... things like this should never have happen to any body.... i hope this is over for you now... keep up the writing Ruth live life as if your going to die tomorow....... but love as if your going to live forever...... |

ah yes, very very very true. Dang I wish I would have read this a long time ago, it says everything I would have warned myself before....well anyways, this is good, the cliche of fooling me once is your fault...ect. does bother me a little....but besides that, 2 up for ya =) - River |

you're telekenetically fused to my thoughts, eh? too much a part of what's going 'round in my life to be just ironic. like you hold the pin in your hand slowly inching it towards my eyeball to force me to see my own pain...friggin' ouch! that hurt! stop it!
