You were only ten when I first saw you
comfortable in this modern haven mess
living the life whose price no one knew.
You were comfortable inside yourself
never came out of your ancient home
you said it was safer among the dead.
I oversaw the construction of your mind
built each thought and fantasy with care
put everything inside so you could know.
You were made paranoid by my design
with a language only a few ever knew
so your life could stay esoteric and lost
to remain between us until the last day.

Hidden undertones of a message dear to many... and feared by many. Awesome!

Your writing intrigues me. It's like you suddenly appeared in my narrow line of sight and put these images, these thoughts and idea's there. I liked the poem, deeply.

Hollow.

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad. The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had. - Gary Jules, Mad World.

I have always loved the dichotomies of potential meanings in your excellent work, fractal. I have my own relatings to this one from those having serious troubles "opening doors", and from this point of view, your ode is inspirational. Again, great job constructing deep, poetic imagery for me.

God, Kevin . . .

this reminded me of Gollum.
It is brilliant, scarysweet.
