The point of no return

0 posted 2004-08-30 10:07 AM

Sometimes I can't breath,
and sometimes I feel breathless.
Sometimes my eyes start to sting,
and a lump grows in my throat.
Sometimes I have to keep myself from running,
walking right out of the room.
Sometimes I have to walk fast,
dodge the killer in the shadows.
Slamming the door in his face.
Just in time.
Sometimes my heart beats too fast,
and sweat beads on my head, for nothing.
Sometimes I want to sleep under the bed,
to prove there's nothing lurking there.
Sometimes I'm screaming,
over and over,
silent,
for someone to look at me.
Really look, and really See.
And help me.
Because sometimes I can't take it.

People like you are the reason people like me need therapy.

As I look at this world and realize that I am the only one to have seen the end of all Good I let the tears out that and ask the world to see them.

Actually, there's a secret to me poetry writing.  Steven King.  That's what I read every night before I start writing,  *nod nod*  And Ben and Jerry's.  That improves everything.  It's proven.  ^_^

King would applaud! And would hand it over to Robert McCammon for the psychology aspects of the horror that is this anxiety. Very well done, indeed!

Fellow Stephen King fans!  *maniacal laugh*  My favorite is The Tommyknockers.  Or Maybe Rose Red, even though that's a movie.  Or Firestarter... Eh.  I am a Stephen King fan.  Anyway.  Glad people liked the "under the bed" part.  I did that.  >.<  It left a horrible crick in my neck, though, and I kept hitting my head. =.=

Tommyknockers was THE BEST book EVER!! The first time I tried to read it, I just couldn't get into it, then a few years later, I did, and I was sure glad of it.

SEA: *big wolfy grin*  I absolutely loved The Tommyknockers. I just finished a couple days ago.  ^_^ I didn't like the ending though.  Gard was awesome.  *sniffle*
Darkness: Hey, you're an awesome writer too, and so is LOR, so nothing to be jealous about, no?  I think my writing has something to do with reading Macbeth in 4th grade and being brought up on horror movies and books like Lord of the Flies.  *nod nod* I hated that book, the best people die.

I would recommend The Stand
by King, the best epic next to LOTR.
