another poem/song. let me know what you think. had to dissapear for a while untill this one came. hope you like it. --------------------------------------------------- Unnatural Stillness There's this unnatural stillness Deep within My heart, soul, body, and mind Like the calm before the storm I feel it coming But I'm not sure what it is The maddening confusion Of thoughts left unchecked What am i supposed to do When every day is like the next Yet always completely diffrent When up turns to down And this turns to that When I want to dissappear Run away from it all When what was once a puppy Is now a multi-headed monster When light has turned To total and complete darkness When I turn into a little kid again Afraid to let people in For the hurt they cause is just too much When I'm running from myself But myself is two steps ahead When all I see in the mirror Is not me at all When my writing Once the giver of life Has turned into poison When I want to tell everyone Why I'm this way But my ability to communicate Has shutdown When all I think about Is a chance at freedom But knowing I would never have the guts or strength But for now All is still All is calm All is quiet And i can rejoice In the wonders of numbness Once again There's this unnatural stillness Deep within My heart, soul, body, and mind Like the calm before the storm I rest I wait Knowing what comes next from my heart to my head, to your eyes to your mind. "alone yet unafraid to hurt. i go through every day trying to find my way. where is the light. where is my fight. is this how it ends?" |

Sometimes it takes only the moments of silence in your life to bring you true solace in this world. I thought it was absolutely compelling and heartfelt.
