Another day older
And what do I have to show for it?

What will make me immortal?
Is it never dying,
Or the works I create
Like busy ants
Building, always building
Moving ever in vain
In their doomed mounds
To be destroyed by whim
Of Nature or Man,
Or by their own hand

Pitiless time marches on
Cruel Fate, and even crueler Hope
Gathers me along with everyone
In its tightening grip
Some few slipping between fingers
Postponing their inevitable
Only pausing briefly
Until falling faster,
They hit the ground suddenly
And then what does it all matter?

Just another day older
And still,
What do I have to show for it?

I liked this one. The ending was relative to all.

Hollow.
