It's been a really long time since I have posted on these boards, or written poetry for that matter. As I always was I am open to all criticism, and mine will be the first as I don't much like this poem (I like what it says, the poetry is just sloppy though, more like scattered thoughts then poetry....). But it will be a while until get the touch back. Pessimest Philosophy With a Side of Empathy Tonight I can feel the world and it is killing me The pleading cries of mother earth wane Yet drowned out by the sorrow of humanity To see the world as it is, truthfully is to both reawaken and torture the soul I give myself as a vessel tonight feeling the remnants of an afflicted morality Humanity? A self amassing cemetery Peace? A non-existent memory History? A masochist's diary Addicted to killing ourselves Addicted, afflicted morality Privilege or prison? Caged within a culture of hypocrisy Outwardly, all hope is lost Inwardly, only existing to the willing Will... sold out to the ego Our will becomes our reality Paradisiacal possibilities, lost as the privileged attach their will to gluttony The world... can only stand and watch in a state of confused disheartenment as the will of the few, is materialized mocking, controlling, destroying the many Moral will... beaten, broken, distorted, and misguided no chance, no choice, no existance shrinking away into oblivion, a submission with sanity close behind and it is killing me and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me... |

Yes. Ignorance may be bliss, but it is a very self centered / cynical view to take on the world. Hear no evil see no evil, THAT in itself is evil. and i'm certain that if i drive into those trees, it would make less of a mess, than she's made of me... |
