I've written many poems
to say how I feel
I have put them to music
to show that my feelings were real.

I have sang you a lulaby
of my undying desire and grace
my hearts words has brought you to tears
I have dried your face.

I have only asked one thing from you
in return for all I do
that you never be like him
never hit and be untrue.

I have felt the pain that love can bring
and the pain of abuse
the bruises and scars
it is time to call a truse

no longer am I his "bitch"
thats hard for me to say
I did as I was told
I have known no other way

then you came along
and I stood in total shock
after 5 years of friendship you take me away
and your love rewinds the clock.

5 years of loving eachother
from a distance of course
so I gave in and left him
for this I have no remorse

you make my life more complete
each and every day
you constantly say you love and need me
I hope it stays this way.
