Morbid eyes,
Drooping skull,
Melting into the rough concrete.
You seem to stare without meaning,
Totally engrossed,
With an ebony screen.
You scream at me,
To end the prattling voices,
Inside your mind.

The mirror is cloaked,
Sorry you tell me,
But I didn’t look like me.
You pause suddenly,
A look of surprise on your face,
Spit dripping onto the floor.
There you go again,
Slipping further into nowhere,
Not remembering who I am.

A shadow stands behind you,
I wonder if that shadow,
Has also cracked.
I blink,
And suddenly there you are again,
Inhabiting your eyes.
Ready or not,
Here I come,
I’m tired of this game.

I don’t want to see you,
I dread it,
There, I’ve said it.
You tell me your heart isn’t beating,
It’s you,
I can’t just hang up.
Maybe one day I’ll come back,
And you will be you once more,
Then again, maybe not.

Please stop pretending I yell,
But when I look into your psychotic eyes,
I know that you’re not.

However long the night, the dawn will break.

"So what befalls the flawless?
Look what I've built, it shines so beautifully now watch as it destroys me."
