MUSCLE MEMORY

Welcome old friend. I’ll
Welcome myself to your
Innards; wipe my feet on your
Tepid veins that run throughout
This city of our memories.

Standing, sitting,
Lying, lounging,
Talking, silent.
None bring new angles.
This is repetition. Smash
That concave mirror and
See; look out. Oh, and
MIND THE GAP.

In every name I see
A memory. Leicester Square –
Where you bought your shoes.
Cockfosters – where we shared
A giggle.

The road to Kentish Town is
Unloved, and always mourning.
However, it has its ups, it defies
Convention – Highbury & Islington is bathed
In moonlight; Kentish Town is drowned
In a thousand tramp’s rancid vomit.
Individual – I like that.

It still amuses me: That park bench
On PLATFORM 1. I like to think it
Was a joke once; bemused West End
Socialites, confused by this monolith;
This meaning of nothing and embodiment
Of everything.

Although the lights shine bright, all I ever see
Is darkness. Carriages flash past – magnesium
Existence. And sometimes I see your face, and
Sometimes, sometimes I don’t.

I’ll always search; I know you’ll
Always understand. I’ll jump – train
To train, line to line – just to hold
Your hand.

This one is kind of related to London, all the place names are tube stops but the message is similar I suppose, wherever you are.

lol, this is...interesting. it's like a short story...kindove gory, but what ever floats your boat i guess. looks like you put a lot of work into it. i can't say that i understand all of it but i would say it looks ok. keep writing, experience pays off.

gpc~

I enjoyed this very much.  Seemed to give me a look into your memories...
