Digging weakness bites through the flesh,
Cold like a frosted dawn,
The mist on the windows seem reticent,
But the understanding and meaning seems gone,
The steel blue shards of broken glass,
Bleeds out the pain,
They seem so affectionate,
When all is present,
But cantering and ambling when gone.

Scourging for the liveliness that used to belong,
Now an empty void of a rotting wound,
The vacant place where once,
A reflection would gaze back,
The pools of deep used to melt before,
But now they sink back in,
A barren wilderness where laughter grew,
Is now blank with a tinge of sickness,
Is now dead with a dash of living.

They used to see.
But now they look.
Paralyzed steel blue.
His unfeeling inky eyes.

"Why are my visions so unliving with dreams? And why do I no longer care?" - Stygian

A poem using a wide array of diction and imagery, which made this poem worth reading in all aspects. A very interesting set of analogies. Well done.
