It’s been five years (since)
the fields knew
the apples
and the falling pears.
This turning caption
how could I notice
with a dousing swear,
those moments
and he –
who came from that columned lair.
When light
within this mind
sipped at the will of darkness.
Casting the inevitable
lining, that part of us
passing-
I called
for his name.
The Moon Man
is who I am.
We long
for the same.
The gossamer of time
and carrier of bones.
I am the one,
the one who knows-
and from the light
known to others
you know, I know,
and I know, you know,
following
till the cause is ready to sow.
Searching
the everlasting
through vanilla cultured teachings
and castaway feelings.
You know, I know,
since the fields
once knew.
The apples, and
the falling pears.

If nothing is something
then everything is
our thoughts and feelings
and all that exists.

My goodness - this is so beautiful.  The words were perfectly chosen and I liked the line breaks.  I know this poem is in no way upbeat, yet it doesn't seem quite dark to me.  The feeling it presented was kindof calming. I really liked this.  I think I have to read it a couple more times.

Marge, good to hear from you again, and thanks for the much appreciated complement. Thanks for stopping by.

Endlessecho, at times dark can be calming. For who knows where it comes from? Thanks for the VERY kind comments.

eor, my man we're you been? My favorite critic. We must be some type of soul mates. Thanks for the up-lifting, my fellow poet. Hey, I've been on some other sites lately. e-mail me if you want to shop around. Later.
