you cringe as i yell at you
yet you stay still as a statue

after this fight

and this angers me more
i make a move to the door
but i see the deep unrealenting pains
the coarses through your tightening viens
i freeze for a while
deny this denial

my eyes fill with mournful tears
i wish i didnt feel these fears
so i ease my hand from the door
but then memories begin to conjure

blood soaked skin
stretched so thin
a horrific and hideous yell
i wake up to a living hell
and remember why i was leaving
there was no time for my greiving

i look back into your eyes
and remeber those vendictive lies
i will be your prisoner forever
being free i will never

i am the princess in the tower

Very real. I could see it all. Feel it. Great expression of the raw emotion - not prettied up. confused, jumbled, uncertain - unfortunately - very real.
