YESTERDAYS NEST

Softly comes the kiss of dawn
Upon a sleeping nest
Darkness is by gold light torn
Forlorn it must disperse

Creatures waking dazed and hazy
Raised by day from rest
In the moon excused by lazy
Pleased when dreams impress

Through golden mist the real unfolds
Behold another day
The peaceful nest is truth untold
Colder are its ways

All around a swarming cloud
Louder is its hum
Consuming all yet always proud
Shrouded, shielded, numb

Soon evenings kiss returns the mist
Twisted truth escapes
Creatures seek a docile bliss
Ignorant of fate

Stars that glistened in the skies
Disguised by blackened cloud
The ravaged victim’s silent cries
The lies of true and proud

Darkness is forever soon
Moon and sun are past
Death now lives in life’s  room
Creatures didn’t last

Once again, very nice! It has a nice flow to it

We spend our whole lives trying to live, only to realize that we don’t know what life is truly about until it is too late.
