Underneath the mask
There hides a face
Covered in invisible scars

Scars so deep they
Never show nor leave
People disregard my hidden self

Pretend to never see them
But I see their eyes
As they search to find my flaws within

I know they know something wrong
But my scars are too deep to show
My life is not a

Show 'n' tell day
It is dark, deep and deniable
I hide beneath the lie

That everybody hurts
I make myself believe
And it works

But inside, deep
Beneath the darkness
Is the memory

Of my painless happy days
It hurts to remember
And it pains to forget

I know exactly how you feel, very sad poem, but you know what, sadness sometimes remains until tears of joy erupt, so hang in there.

OK, now that made me cry.. Whatever this is, I know you can get through it.. I know you can, even though it's obviously a difficult time right now, it will end, maybe not overnight and yes there will be times when you will cry inside for remembering what you've been through. These poems are really good, this pain you are/have been feeling has made a great effect on your writing.
Hey, remember to smile.

yer soph, that was really deep.
I have a shocked expression on my face at the moment.
Are the scars what i think they are? Or is this something new?

I feel your sadness but sense that you've got this figured out as well. Take courage in the fact that your healing is shown through poetry, and with that? learning.

Well done inside and out...take care hun!

Love, is there something ur not telling us?
The poem is excellent, very dark very deep. I like the invisible scars bit and the first line.

Powerful poem.  I liked it, I understand the struggle in this one all too well.

Amazing. I know how it feels, and i just want you to know that whatever it is, i am here if you wanna talk to me. This poem, was just wow. Very deep, and also very dark, and powerful. The last few lines were beautiful. It does hurt to forget, and even more to remember.

I can relate.  Its kinda like feeling like a whore and refusing to have sex.  Just repeated beating of the face on a brick wall.
