Confused, I have to clear my enemy
This obstacle within myself
To a world of comfortable and normal human beings
A world I have felt distant and lost from in a puddle of my own guilt

Sometimes I feel cursed and just want out
The light of excitment, my melodic soul
Someone hear me and listen to what I say
Guilty cloud and absent stare
To a belonging someone to

A nervousness of experience and containment
Let me live
Voodoo woman with immature rage and much too precious attitude
Let me live
A soul of my own

Weight of depression and saddness
Lack of hope grinding my direction to a stand still and stop

I can see what she has done and what to do
but where to go
I'm lost again in this plastic coated world that seems to melt under pressure
And direction can come only from myself if it doesn't rot away into the nothingness of oblivion and eternal sleep a freedom of myself

The rest of the world is so beautiful, even if just a peek.

these are the most insightful words
I have read in a long time:

Let me live
A soul of my own

stand still and stop
maybe one or the other.

you talk about wanting a soul of your own and then that you want freedom from yourself in sleep.
you sound confused.

I know how this is, this is a perfect poem for my day.
the first stanza  is amazing, it is how I feel A LOT.
beautiful words, Craig.
