Black
It all goes black.
As if a swollen sore

Am I dissappearing
I am still here
Maybe a lack of courage,
faith,
maybe more.

The entire world seems to be gray now
They all have gone away
Given in to practical concepts
Impratical in pratice

It fades away
This life we love, live,
what we are
Slowly it all drains in a pipe often refered to as reality

I can't sit here
I can't watch myself fade away
I'm not dying
Pulsating hope
In the pounding of my heart

General public
My old friends aren't

Turn this around
Be happy and free
For once free of the weight of myself

I know.
I know this feeling.
"Am I dissappearing"
Somtimes I ask this,
and hope that it's true.
I wonder why I'm unhappy,
then feel like I have no right or reason.

Anyway...
I liked your poem, it stirred feelings,
as you can see.
thanks for sharing this.

I'm glad everybody enjoyed it.  Thank you for reading.  I was once told that I looked like a dork for replying to posted messages on my poetry, but that must have been an opinion not worth taking note of and putting into practice.

Craig:

this is so insightful
not only a look at yourself
but at society , as well
and never be ashamed of replying
shows you care

well done

i liked this one greeny, powerful, kind of made me think of a bruise that tkaes a while healing then turns yellow and grey and is all ugly, not your writing of course, but the mental imiage of wanting hope...

Look what I've built, it shines so beautifully now watch as it destroys me."
