She sees
But she doesn't understand
She patronizes
But she knows nothing
She judges
But she hasn't lived MY life
I look away
Hiding the tears I will not allow myself to shed
She doesn't know
She doesn't comprehend
She just assumes that my life is perfect
She cannot fathom how it feels
to wake up each day as me
To feel the urge, the pull
To end it all today
The different ways, surrounding me
The belt, the pills, the knife
The end, the blessed end
To the pain
She will never know
She could never dream what it's like
To be happy one moment
To cry the next
She can preach, insinuate, fling the hurtful words she loves so much
But she will never know
She will never know me

Make this a "he" and I know just what these words mean. Here's hoping you recover whole in spirit. I wasn't so lucky, but I can still wish that for you. Sending a hug. I would imagine you are needing one right about now.
Love,
Terri~
