You guys are probably getting sick of me, but this one relates greatly to me right now and you guys always listen...

I’m flailing at all these one way, glass walls
I put them up and I can’t get them down
I’m looking at the world with a tint of blue
Can’t remember how it felt to hear you
And all of this rain is running down in lines
You’re somewhere out there aren’t you?
I know that you left me a long time ago
I remember what it was to breathe the air
Though it was draped with all hurt
But it was real and that made it fair
It’s just me and all of these distorted lines
Lines of him and lines of her falling down
This rain falls trying to wash away all this filth
And every time it fails, but it always comes
It comes with the anger that I gave you

A mild-blue cubicle in a half-broken city
1 dollar and you can stare out of half-rotten pity
I wish I could see out of this roof of black
Are there others above me, stack upon stack?
I’m probably alone in this self constructed square
I thought I saw her once, in the haze way out there

We like to keep our greatest complications in boxes
And I guess I never figured myself out
We like to hold our greatest secrets in boxes
I never really could just let myself out
We like to keep the things we hate the most in boxes
And I guess I just had to put myself away…

I'm not tired of you. You are one of the people I always look forward to reading. And this...was very insightful and came from the heart. My favorite part:

"A mild-blue cubicle in a half-broken city
1 dollar and you can stare out of half-rotten pity"

Wow, talk about beautiful words. The ones I love always hurt the most. This defintely hurt.

Keep posting.

loved that line...and the rest. I am enjoying reading your words and relating to them.

I do not tend to grow tired of those who have skill and heart so I do not belive I will tire of your writing any time soon.

oh and about the glass walls and boxes
They are why I carry a hammer.

Neither night nor day can give me purchase only purged dust on earth can avenge the worthless.

ahh yes, we all do, but being able to lift that hammer and strike it down takes all the energy of your life.  Walls put up are hard to take back down.  Thank you all for your responses, you have all made me feel welcome and I will continue to share.
