What is goodbye, a few words on a page?
Is it this thing we hold closely
That ravaged the marrow
And gleamed with worn pride?
Is it the end of tomorrow
Where we’re all side by side
With a needle to each others neck
Ready to inject our future?

What is goodbye, a few shifts of a lip?
The something we want?
The something we need?
The bittersweet catastrophe?
Is it nothing, beat into submission
As it’s forced to become something?

The flow of my nothing
Her burnt winters dress
The snapping of metal
The end of unrest
The tone of tomorrow
My lawless arrest

This is goodbye:
Forced and remembered
Hated and measured
Bored of the end
Longing for beginning
Goodbye always hurts
Who cares where you’re sitting

Ryan~
You pegged it~

'This is goodbye:
Forced and remembered
Hated and measured
Bored of the end
Longing for beginning
Goodbye always hurts
Who cares where you’re sitting'
