What caused this thumb-bound beast to stand erect? Are we Evolution's selection or Nature's reject? If we were able to evolve from pools of goo... someone else somewhere else must have too someone as confused as a colony of ants - marching in line in a hypnotic trance trying to build their lives in a pile of dust - working to live ... just like us. Like brainless sperm that work against the flow we're makin' it up... as we go. Like a family of squid with sharks that surround us we're unaware of the dangers around us. Like dinosaurs grazing on trees and the defenseless we're big fat dumb and senseless. Are we some insane game of marbles for some twisted group of Gods? Could all these scientists and factmen just be idiots and frauds? We could be ameoba in a dish trying to divide and conquer... an experiment gone wrong like Frankenstein and his monster! Maybe we're just parasites like some dog sucking flea or a festering fungus that can be treated with cream. In the end, it won't matter how hard you tried... you -know -you -can't- hide- from the fungucide- I think there's a universe in between my toes. It's oozing with life that builds and grows micro-beings who want to figure things out- split by color and belief, so surely in doubt about the world around them and yet so quick to judge it using brain cells like they're living on a budget If only they knew all the answers they seek if it was discovered someday by some coke-bottle geek They'd run up their credit cards and end all their diets. My toes would feel the burn when they all started riots. Perhaps I should end it before they find out For a little while, at least, there wouldn't be any doubt I'll come down on them all with a poisonous spray raining down like showers of ash at pompei After all people, would YOU want to know that you evolved from the slime hiding under my toe? amoeba - cockroach - hairy ape don't try to run - you won't escape fiercest tiger - slyest germ heartiest human - swiftest sperm In the end, it won't matter how hard you tried... you -know -you -can't- hide- from the fungucide ~..Throughout life, people come and go. Some people come back..~ |
