I walk alone this deserted path
with nothing but time on my side
I hold within my hand a key
the key to where my happiness lies
but you will figure out too late
why this soul is fading away.

The wind blows through the trees
the night is dark and my heart is still
but yet I walk alone in search of
a place to lay my head to rest
but you will figure out too late
why this life is fading away.

I have come to the end of my journey
the forest is silent, awaiting its sacrifice
my hand is trembling, my body cold
as I drop down to my knees
but you will figure out too late
why this girl has gone away.

i believe you will no longer be the girl no one knew but the girl every knew because of her unbelieveable talent in writing poetry
this poem has such power and emotiion written in it. amazing
i could a girl stumbling through a forest and falling to her knees as I was reading it

i can not put into words how much this poem moved and amazed me
