some where deep in the shadows

One desire
Wraps and pulls me under
Sinking deep
Into the darkest breach
Don’t worry
You never cared anyways
Bringing me closer
To the end I’ve always dreamt
No more pain
Of this broken and battered heart
No more crushed dreams
Just let me heal, and be happy within the dark
Down and down I go
Further from your embrace
And further from happiness

There is no peace among the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter and the laughter of thirsting gods

Beautiful, sad poem. Just remember we only have one life. Hugs, Maggie
