Thanks and Giving.

It’s almost that time of year,
when once again we are asked to give
and say thank you, at the same time.

I enjoy giving and saying thank you,
coupled with hearing thanks in return.
But when you demand that I give
and give and give and give again,
and I never hear sincere thank yous
or heartfelt resolutions
to work to change the forward movement
of the course of human history
from the mindset of War
to a heartset of Peace...

it makes me reluctant to give

my time,
money,
heart,
life,

to support any person, political, or religious institution

that refuses to learn the simplest lessons of Love and Life given to us over and over again
since mankind’s time on Earth began
by diverse prophets, priests and princes of Peace:

Do unto others
as you would have them
do unto you.

Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not kill.
Thou shalt not kill.

do unto you.
