(AN: A current heartbreak inspired this work together with listening to Metallica.)

Saint Anger

Saint Anger, a saint never respected.
Except by those broken hearted and dejected.
Saint Anger, all I've got left.
For emotionally I am worn and bereft.

I am happy because you're happy to be with him.
But I'm also hurt, lost, and becoming grim.
Saint Anger, directionless, but not at you.
I could never hurt or harm you.

Which is why I can't say how I really feel.
I guess I don't have any sort of appeal.
I'm not even angry at your boyfriend.
Though hearing of him my heart did tear and rend.

A dozen rounds at the punching bag.
Saint Anger, wipes the brow with an old rag.
Saint Anger, all I have remaining.
As I walked along in the night raining.

Saint Anger, rage directed at the successful guy.
Who seems to rub it in my face, I just want to cry.
I feel I want to lash out in rage, Saint Anger.
Emotionally mangled, all I've got, Saint Anger.

Other guys who experience love.
Acting like me they are above.
Saint Anger releases my all mighty rage.
I'm in Kubler-Ross' Anger stage.

Saint Anger, all of me that remains.
Through all the heartaches and pains.
