Singing lowly, her voice echoes wide
Tainted by the scorn and pain of the times
But she'll never stop singing as long as she lives
For her song is the only hope we all have

We never once knew just who she was
Playing her out like a goddess above
No such thing, for we are all fools
Elaborate clay figures layed down too soon

Like pawns in a game, she moved us aside
Shaping our lives(hearts) to be so bitterly wise
Never the less, we all let her go
Not realizing the great things that she does

Who then, is she, one might ask
She is like God, the first and the last
She is the force that drives in us deep
The figure to whom we all wish to speak

Singing lowly, her song never ends
She rocks us asleep, her message not sent
Live and let live, is all that she says
But we ignore her sweet warning, pretending she's dead

Oh such a shame found in that terrible lie
She is more than just merely alive
She is under us, and around us all lays
Yet we still don't know just who she is

Maybe one day you'll see what I've seen
Maybe one day you'll all know it too
She is the mother, the messiah of souls
Mother Earth, singing so low...

Sorry I missed this until now.  I think this is a really good write, well thought out and well written.  This line really caught my eye:

"Elaborate clay figures layed down too soon"

Nice work on this write!
