The story with the blackest frames
the cloudiest window panes
the darkest secrets
secreted away
The story with the closets
the skeletons - forgotten
And everyone
and everything
exactly in its place

"I don't need to scream for you to deem me aggravation."

Not really sure why I liked this, maybe because it has an edge that is my mood today. Good read!

Yeah, I'm not sure why I thought it was good enough to post, either. There's something under the surface, something difficult to put your finger on.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression I didn't like it.  I really did. It sort of reminded me of my own story.  After a series of traumatic events, I moved into an apartment on the seventh floor (7th story) to put the past(with its skeletons and secrets) behind me (everything in its proper place). The windows are still a little grimy, but I keep at them with the Windex. I honestly thought it was a very good poem.

Ah, fear not. I understood that you liked it. I was referring to the reason it was appealing, which yet eludes me. Although, for you, it's quite literal. That pleases me greatly. And is also extremely fascinating, because I wrote this while sitting in downtown Chicago. I was looking up at a building and noticed one floor had darker windows. Counting up, I found it to be the seventh. I'm amazed that it worked out so well.
