Yesterday
I tossed away
a paper doily that I'd owned.

Today I took the time to think
why such a thing would be a chore.

But yes, she did weigh heavily--
I held her
to her promise--kept.
I kept her bones beg burial
and yellow time was all she wore.

Yesterday
I tossed away
a cozy catcher of the dust.

Today I smile--
considering...

I guess tomorrow I'll buy more.

gotta agree with vlraynes and Ed on this one.
getting rid of things is never like it should be... or maybe other people are the weird ones
