Moved from a shack to a barn

0 posted 2003-09-27 02:36 AM

I guess at some point

This point

One would have to ask ones' self

Just exactly
What the point
Was?

To the decision to disdain
All but the smallest
Of societies

To the singleness of purpose
That pointed to this shack
On this river

That now

When the hour hand
On the clock of life
Points at something

Well past
halfpast

I would point to my own image
And ask

Why?

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

When you find a believable answer, will you share it with me, Ed?
Not to blabbor a point, but I am nearly 'dead in the water' with my writing these days. I write, throw it out, write again. But almost nothing seems to be worth hitting the submit button lately.
It's not that I can't write, just that my words seem to be so useless and hollow, and such a waste of time.
so, what's this got to do with your write? LOL, damned if I know.
Think I'll go read some more poetry and prose...anything written by someone other than myself.
Cyber HUGS to you.

m'love . . .

I am only thankful
that you do question
I believe I know why
and your solace may
no longer be what it was
or what was needed
but now, a new trace of self
replacing what once was

I ask too, and no anwers come
*smile*
nice to see your brows wrinkled

I forget who said it (of course)

but I do love the quote:

"There is nothing you can do that is very important--but it's very important that you do it."

I totally agree. No doubt about it, but what if there are circumstances where you TRY to do that and someone keeps taunting you and you can't do that you are so busy trying to defend yourself. I know about this. Very much so. When someone in your life constantly is trashing you, and taunting you how do you NOT stay inward? How do you not do all you can to stand against the lies. Just because you defend yourself doesn't mean you feel guilty it means that you don't want OTHER people to think something bad about you. Let's face it.. we may say we aren't affected by first impressions, but we are. If someone goes to a person and trashes you and they have never met you and don't know you yet then what do they have to go on except for what they hear first. I KNOW who and what I am, and the people that REALLY know me know this, but the ones that don't then they have a bad impression already. I don't have anything to hide or cover up but I would feel that I have a right to tell the truth about myself. I for one don't believe anything until I talk to the horses mouth first, but that does not mean every one else will do that. Yep. You are right...one would have to come to the point of asking SELF and then letting it go, but in my case B*O*T*H* have to do that...not just one. If people would BOTHER to ask BOTH sides of the story the they might not be so quick to judge, and btw judging...well I thought that was Gods job. Even when I hear the story from the one accused I still don't judge, because all is not what it seems. Dig a little deeper and see where the person is coming from!!!! Take a little more time. And that on BOTH parties involved!

THANK YOU<

p.s. And as for why would I do this with total strangers first of all I don't think I'm a total stranger, but if I was total strangers don't mind accusing so I don't mind defending. Thank You!

Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer!
