Where?
I tell you--it is there--
it knows my every thought.
A form of such tenacity--
stalking me relentlessly
mocking my self-mockery
in staunch refusal to be caught.

Beads--perspire on my lip--
do I dare to stop the game?
Turn about to see the face
discovering the demon's name?

No holy oil of banishment--
directive of "return to Hell!"
I boldly stood there on the path.
I turned to face myself...

WOW girlie...haven't we all. Yikes it's a scary thing isn't it. Just know (for what it's worth) there's someone keeping you in their thoughts, and prayers when it's the dark times of having to re-evaluate. These are not times that are any fun. I know there are many more than me, but I'm just saying add me to the list of keeping you in my thoughts.

Very nice and dark! I like poems that have to do with fear, mostly fear of what lies inside ourselves. Good job! (And thanks for the kind introduction!)
