Urban Nightmare

Tottering he turns the light on
Not sure if he's ready for another day, so lone
again

Bad dreams at night, urban nightmares at day
No time for sad lament, no time for searching a way
absent

Astonishing buildings, no space to breath
Among such feelings, life is not easy to live
way out

Time stops as he looks so many times to his watch
Day and night trying to understand what pieces to match
fight

Another wasted day without a guiding light
without a challenge, without an aim
He turns off the light, goes to the lonesome bed
knowing that tomorrow he's got to be ready to shave
again

Hello people...I've signed up to this place a couple of years ago and I now decided to put some poetry in here, but I feel like I have to say some things.
First of all, my mother language is not english unlike the large majority of people here as far as I was able to realize, and all I had was 3 school years of english language so I beg you to pardon my errors, and feel free to correct me.I would even appreciate
Second thing...greetings from Portugal
Keep poetizing!

Welcome to Passions!  We've been WONDERING when you'd post!  So happy to have you aboard, finally!  As for English not being your first language, you could have fooled me!  Well done!

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?

You writing is clear and simple, yet deep in meaning. I liked it.

First, welcome to PiP.  Your debut poem was outstanding, and your English is superb.  My son-in-law's second language is English and I am amazed at times at his deep level of knowledge in it.  You, too, seem to be blessed the same way.

This is one of the best pieces I've read here tonight....because of it's clarity. You use your knowledge of English well, nn.
