THE RETURN

We send them "over there"
And put them in harm’s way
And then their loved ones wait
Till that, homecoming day.

Tears of happiness will flow
With hugs and kisses galore
Some see babes for the first time
Since they went off to war.

To sleep in their own bed
And to have a home cooked meal
A long, hot, cleansing, shower
Seems to be the biggest deal.

We all share in the joy
Of their safe returning
The end to all that worry
And an end to that yearning.

But please, let us not forget
About those who gave their all
Who won’t return to loved ones
After, they answered the "call".

Let’s take a moment to give thanks
For, their supreme, sacrifice
And to all those loved ones
Who have paid the highest price.

I am so grateful for those
who continue to believe in
our country, and who will
strive to see that we are
safe.  A "thank you" to our
troops will never be enough.

Abe,
I'm glad to see you express the words I cannot.  Yes, I'm glad to see some home and appreciate all they've given and continue to give.   Thank you for expressing it so well.

(sigh) They should never have had to go there in the first place, but they did out of honor, which politicians don't have, and for that they always deserve our utmost love and recognition and respect! (big angel hugs) God Bless You, sweet friend, God Bless Them All, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Abe, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
