Pent up and chained
The heart sturdier than steel tether
Her call to him across inclement weather
Through fog an echo once persuaded
Until the glow of moon pervaded

Two shadows beat the twilight hills
Her eyes woke of his primal chills
The thrash of cruel imprisoned woes
Through fog illusions wintered snows
And tag became the spell of zeal

Together fast and furious heat
Astride by side and lightest feet
Through winter wail into the night
Untamed in free form soul delight
And howl at the moon

And far from harm the nights embrace
Together in a velvet place
Familiarized most noble prized
Entwined divined, and idolized
These spirits to transcend

As man and woman true to form
So pleasured this caress so warm
Two beings brought forth to be one
Enthralled the roar of rivers run
And howl at the moon

That's my favorite verse, it's just so pretty.
Your entire poem is a beauty and sets the stage to dream!

I do love your poetic voice Kathleen!

dark and beautiful, sensuous and heart quickening upon reading,
a little different in the dark, a nice
variation here
