My night is set for laughter
I’ll cry with tears tonight
I’m resolved to view hereafter
These visions of delight

For those who think they’re really good
At singing songs and such
Should realize their voices actually could
Hurt our ears so much

So pass the hat and dole out the Midol,
Watch those expositions of disgrace
As we suffer through Fox’s American Idol
And wish we could all be in another place.

Well, kiddo, at least you aren't at the grocery getting milk to drown your Cheerios!  But then again...which is worse Shop 'n Save or American Idol? Hmmm, I will let you be the judge!

Very cute... I even chuckled and believe me those chuckles and smiles have been few and far between these days.

Cool write!

Patricia, Shop N Save is worst...I never shop and whenever I go to a grocery store I have to ask some lady where everything is and they look at me like--don't stalk me...please.  It is sometimes easier to eat dry cereal

Midnitesun,  now THAT is funny, but might better be called American IDLE (pun intended)

jaicie, I cannot help myself -- I find it perversely amusing in the early stages...later on when only the good ones are on...I stop watching.
