Dredgeknot, the overseer and ruler of Evils Keep,
Relinquished Sorrowknick, a bewildered beast
In hopes of securing power over the lands was his feat
By questing the ruins vacated during Lord Branniston’s retreat.

“Beacon to the favor of my request before I tire.
I give thee a quest and the power of my army’s fire.
For Lord Branniston lives and does not retire,
According to Vanderbot the town’s keeper and village sire.”

“Thy land slumbers before thy paths fold.
Thou hast been ordered to seek out a mystical scroll.
With this scroll I shall commence all souls,
And shadow the lands in a pitch of a darkened abode.”

Sorrowknicks quest was uneventful and upon entering the lands
He ascended the cliffs where he discovered a peasant man.

The peasant pleaded not to be summoned by Dredgeknots swords crest,
And told Dredgeknot to take what he would so long as not to lay him to an eternal rest.
Dredgeknot inquired of a cavern that lay in ruins from Branniston’s quest,
The peasant replied, “Oh yes my lord, thy surely comes for the mystical scroll, yes?”

“Follow me to the cliffs and I shall take thee to the caverns nest,
And I shall lead thee to the sanctity where bouts the scroll rest.”
Dredgeknot warned of foul play with a vengeance, “I shall surely sever thy heart from thy chest and spread thy limbs North, East, South and West.”

As they approached the entrance Sorrowknick beheld a stunning sight.
Stood before him was the tablet in an aura of numinous light.
Dredgeknot gave leave of the peasant before his yielding knife.
“Of course thy lord for I wish no vengeance from thy might.”

“But before I venture I must say that you are surely blind
For you see the power of the words were riddle through a poets mind
Thou intentions does not savor the embellishment of this sacred shrine
For you see the scroll that your eyes are cast upon was written by the great Poet Devine.”

“Take heed of the passages lest thee think me a liar,
For thy existence can easily be rewritten if it be her desire,
I grow weary of your presence and ready to retire,
And vanquish thee to the realms of an eternal fire.”

For you see Lord Branniston knowing that you would be sent
Left me here to protect the land of Dredgeknots malicious intent.
Before I decree thee no more and forever circumvent
I shall favor you another truth, before thy ears I shall vent.

I am not a peasant to be scorned by the likes of your wretched kind,
I reveal myself before you as the gifted sorceress Poet Devine
Go thee from my write for I cast thee from my mind.
I will rain vengeance upon Dredgeknot in all due time.

OK...RWV...

I think you are really J.R.R. Tolkien...summoned from the realms beyond and incarnated here to tell us of new journeys into the hearts and souls of "otherfolk". Your creations take on a life of their own...and, are...well, quite simply amazing. Now you're involving the "locals" (PdV...I'm envious!       ). What's next?  I can't wait!  (and, I notice "ch. 2"...did I somehow miss "ch. 1"?) I must take my leave now and search for this missing treasure!

Oh...thanks!

Love and Light...jc

What an absolutely incredible story this was, and it had now promoted me to request that you post more of these, as they are truly my favorites.  You are SO right, she can indeed write you with a flick of a pen can't she LOL.  She is going to love this, and what a nice honor for one of our established poets and administrators.

I had no idea you were including me in this! It was a wonderful surprise though. Your style is different and your imagination is very good. I'm honored that you wrote this for me. Perhaps we can do a duet sometime.

Everyone at PIP has been great and I am very appreciative to all my friends for their encouragement. I am in awe by being surrounded by your presence. Each one of you are specially gifted and I've learn much through your great works. You are all my mentor's!!!!

This write was a response to the generous work Sharon did entitled Ravenwolfvoyager. I wanted to honor her in someway for the honor that she bestowed to me in her write. This is a continuation of that write that she did. Sharons post is located at: /pip/Forum83/HTML/002927.html

Hello Jeff

This is an absolute masterpiece penned by such a talented hand.  I am in awe at your writing style and we are so much richer for having your talent here with us.  You have paid Poet Devine the utmost compliment and I am sure she feels honoured at what you have done.

Something for you that I wrote :

"A poet weaves his words
through each verse to create
a most beautiful tapestry
for us all to admire"

Take care my friend
