You are the tide
against which I fail
to resist
and I the sand
beneath your feet
Imprint your existence
on my soul
before i am washed away

thoughts
the sand
of our mind
press together
by time
and tenderness
become beauty
left hidden
on beaches
to find
as shells
held closely
to heart
