The Turning of Soul:

{and then silence}

Exhaling amber and sky

The image --how it feels
to adore this world
you gently haunt

Still winter holds my heart
pressed to glass, I speak
of rain and soaked
memories, of this sea & that

you may know the moment
      the center
chips of salt     desire
of thirst    colors among earth
held in longing
sipping nectar with out speech
orchids of   being

enduring  darkness

Tracing   edges of wings
blue    --a touch of red  --
motion of breathing

this breathing -- listen

we,       at heart   here   palms pressed

stars     unseen
endless shattered ‘peaces’
clearer dreams   of water
that we may hear falling petals
letting  music follow

he too alone –

what might be your words
if we could hear them?

~~la rotation de l'âme -- He ce offres~~

midnight arrives

softly still,   beautiful for his touch
his  darkness becoming
something I want
against my skin

~~

~*~
In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes art

(~~the turning of soul
  from he that offers~~)

Speechless...I am totally speechless.

You,...this ..both so beautiful.

The term "delicate" has been used, yes?

the turning of the soul...

as always my friend... as always, you move me to shades of green.. envy for the skill, the grace, and the delicacy with which you compose..

What a beautiful ending to another beautifully written poem. And not only that, when reading this poem I am once again reminded of My Arms, Your Hearse, albeit in a softer and gentler style of writing, but nonetheless, brooding, still.

Thanks for sharing, Lauren

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, this is sooooooo beautifully captivating, dearest friend, I think we all need to absorb a bit of the darkness in so we can reach into ones heart and bring about an eclipse of new comfort and color! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, love the title, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

your poetry haunts beautifully time and time again..and I am always so touched and grateful to get to read them.

whew...you drew me in with "Exhaling amber and sky" (what a great line), though I must admit I had to go to Babelfish for help on the French connection.  Nice.
