The rose soaked up sun's snow
and turned it into soft delight.
Fragrance then filled a night
with its secrets.
The lovely, lonely blossom
warmed the quiet night.
Now morning's dawny dewdrops
rest gently on her veins,
and dew seems more like teardrops,
Love's last remains.

(big angel hugs) Oh Jo, this is so very sadly beautiful, sweet friend, I send angel comfort hugs your way and to all who experience this fragile loss of love and wish true happiness to come to them all! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah, this was not written about loss other than the very short life that rosebuds have.  It's just how I saw a beautiful blossom and knew its time was ending.  How much love the roses give!  Thank you for your very sweet and thoughtful response.

Lovely creativity here, although feeling a bit sad...loved it.

From someone who lives in the "Rose City", I couldn't agree more.  Nice images and flow.  Ken
