A Moment's Whim

I miss the word play
that once offered
smiles for free

that could tempt the fires,
arouse feelings once forgotten
and me, just wanting
the presence of you.

I miss the touch of thought
that awoke my days,
kept me imprisoned
from all that hurt.

Walls, built around,
a playground,
just for you... and I
always watching you,
for you, to be with you

even if only for a moment's whim.

M

M,
Such a loyal woman you are! And an awesome writer too. Hope all is well. Miss you.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

whim...it's a beautiful word.
knowing that you always are waiting for your "one" to bring the smiles back...this seems lonely, but dreamy, a quality i much admire in your poetry.

i hope you playground fills with laughter soon.....until then, i send a *giggle* your way!
