Jubilation........he loves me again

It felt like

a new box of crayolas
and all the unnamed
colors of the sunset
were there, lined up
begging to be released
thru the eyes only
a young heart could see
with,

and clean crisp air
when the sun was saintly
and we lay down like
children of god
making angels
as we wore red galoshes,

and hot cocoa and
sneaking freshbaked
cookies out of
your mama's new oven,

and giggling, you
made me giggle
like a silly school
girl, my heart
skipping beats
filled with rainbow
colored caterpillars,

it felt like meeting up again
after a 40 year interval,
but we ended up feeling
like 5 year olds again, anyhow

it felt like we could
truly understand
a word a 5 year old
heart hears, but reallly
can't define at the time,

it felt like.............

Love can make you feel new again, childlike in your approach in seeing all things,,,Isn't it great, to have that new box of crayon feeling?
