There’s no milk in the house
So out I must go
Through the fog and the night
And weather-warmed snow

Death to the Cheerios is what I say
Drown them in bovine juice
And send them on their way!

Cute!  "Bovine Juice"...that really makes me giggle.  My almost 2 year old has to have his "ohs".  Can relate to going out in any kind of weather, do or die, to get another box.  Love this write!

McLean, to be truthful, isn’t there a 2 year-old in all of us that must have our milk and ohs?

iliana and ice, glad you got a little chuckle, but truth be told, I never did make it to the store for the milk

J. Samm, anything that can make us feel like a kid again is good…thanks for reading

Michelle…LOL…that only follows naturally…

KristieSue…bovine juice was a favorite of my father…thanks for reading and commenting

jaicie…glad you like it

Poet deVine…your comment reminds me of that old joke…the punch line of which is “Silly rabbi, kicks are for Twids.”  (laughter heard in background from those who remember that archaic humor)

Death to Cheerios and note cards, as well!  I had to go out into the cold of night last week to purchase note cards for my daughter.  I came back with the note cards and a scraped bumper...a fender bender.  Come to think of it...it was the next day that I got a severe case of the flu...probably contracted that as well on the note card mission.  I wish I had an elf to send on such cold night excursions.

I am rambling as usual.  Very cute poem.  So enjoyed this morning.
