In life's giving
    love is a gift
  such worth living

but a time comes
    when hearts grow old
  a new beat drums

stale blood breathing
    changing colour
  moments theiving

once lifeless blues
    feeling the air
  take on red hues

thy scarlet will
    for you, my love
  my heart bleeds still

pleasures follow
    emptying was
  leaving hollow

but not for long
   another breath
  the weak 'comes strong

in love we learn
    there must be two
  for it to yearn

and now these hearts
    must face and bare
  their broken parts

thy scarlet will
    for true, my love
  such hearts bleed still

One's outlook can be another's expression.

powerfully painful
agonized aching

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

So true this is, Craig....
it takes two wanting it to work.

is it true that blood is actually blue in color until it "hits" the air, and that it is oxygen that turns it red?  Just wondering.  If it's true, that has to be one of the neatest wonders.  Kind of like adding water to kool-aid powder.

You write brought many thoughts to mind.
