Today show story about female fire fighter in CA who bought dog tags in Viet Nam while on vacation and is repatriating them with owners and loved ones.

JUST, DOG TAGS?

Just some metal tags with numbers
And names, (some hard to read)
Held hostage in a foreign land
And just, begging to be freed.

Maybe it was "Old Glory"
Captured, locked up in that case
That made those other items
Seem, so much out of place.

Each "dog tag" has a story
From when each Soldier wore
Part of a life or death behind it
From that "Asian War".

She had found that "something"
She knew, that she could do
To help Honor all those Troops
Whose praise was overdue.

Those "tags" have come back Home
Where they rightly, should be
Back to the original owners
And some to, surviving family.

Just one more wrong righted
By one who took the time to care
To say, "Thank you for the sacrifice,
That you made, over there."

Abe, what a wonderful thing for the lady to
do, and you wrote about it beautifully. I'm
glad to see that you are feeling better and
are able to post again.

Abe, this will be greatly appreciated!  I would like to keep it in my library and send it to a VN War vet I know.  Thanks.
