Hymn For The Faithfully Detached
By: Noah Eaton
1/16/04

When you saw the grave buried for your mother,
did you feel for one moment exactly like your sister or brother?
I now believe these things can fill you with wonder
It's no myth why the tears are taken onto another...

Times like these I am left only to ponder
How could we have not taken time to understand the thunder
You and I were so young, we still had time to discover
But it was the sunshine that made us wonder...

But don't fear,
Don't fear,
faithfully detached...

It's those moments that can make you take cover
You recognize you have wings but you fear soaring over
You believe the skies were missing a color,
missing in your soft candy heart

But don't fear,
Don't fear,
faithfully detached...

It's those moments that can force you to discover,
your lachrymose cheeks stained with the blood of others
I believed the skies were missing a color,
and that's when it made me begin to wonder...

But don't fear,
Don't fear,
faithfully detached...
Don't fear,
Don't fear,
faithfully detached...

"You'll find something that's enough to keep you
But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20
